Nancy's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Nancy here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Nancy was such a classy, fun, lady! After Randy and I completed our honeymoon at the 1994 Michigan vs Notre Dame football game in South Bend, Nancy graciously invited us over to her home. We had a blast celebrating the win, and Nancy made us feel like we were part of the Conybeare clan. I was constantly impressed with her warmth when entertaining, especially tailgating in Ann Arbor on Football Saturdays. Nancy had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person around even if you were surrounded by 100,000 other friends, family, or Michigan fans. Nancy and I both bonded over being nurses, and her compassion for others less fortunate constantly reminds me to this day to always be a patient advocate. I will most remember what a loving mother Nancy was and how proud she was to be a grandmother!
Lots of love to her family,
Amy & Randy Albert

My first introduction to Nancy was as a teenager babysitting for the Conybeare children at their Lake Michigan home. I was struck by her beauty, grace and poise but most of all her beautiful clothes... something a young teenage girl would be impressed with!
Years later we connected again at LMC in the same nursing class, I still have our class picture. After graduating, a few of us studied together for our nursing boards, always at the busy Conybeare house. Once again I was impressed with her ability to maintain an intense fulltime school schedule and caring for her family, both done so well. I am keeping the Conybeare family in my thoughts and prayers always. Love, Vicki(Capizzo) Matthews

Dear Bruce Sr., Bruce Jr., Brian, Barry, Bethany, Brigid and, of course, your families. A whole community mourns with you...a diverse community at that. People from all walks of life remember Nancy with respect and a smile. I got to know you all when you kids were "kids." What a legacy she and you, Bruce Sr., leave behind in these loving and accomplished adults. Hers was a successful life which will live on in each of you and your children. God bless the whole gang! Love, PJ Canonie-Bubin

My heart goes out to the entire family, but...what a life...and think what a difference Nancy made in this world. Personally, I want to celebrate the impact of friendship and love, she had on my family and me. I became friends with Nancy and Bruce in 1968...from then on just a continuous myriad of wonderful experiences. From Hannah Ct to Veronica...Madison to Curaçao. Watching Nancy raise 5 amazing children...6 if you count Bruce ! Nancy always had that warm, beautiful, loving smile and sincere interest in my life, when I would see her. She made me feel special. All of you reading this, realize what I’m talking about. She cared deeply. I respected her passionate ways...like being a pioneer of “women’s lib”....I most remember her gentleness, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Love you Nancy and your family.

My condolences to the family of Nancy. I wish you all peace in this time of difficulty.
I was very fortunate to have worked with Nancy for a few years at Lake Michigan College. She was an amazing soul and such a kind person! I am grateful for the the short time that Nancy was in my life. She was a prime example of how to be graceful and professional. I will never forget her smile, her laugh, and the way she always made me feel supported!

Thank God for women like Mrs. Conybeare. What a wonderful world this would be if we had more people like Mrs. Conybear. God bless the family during this transitional time.
