I was sad to hear about Ruth’s death.
She is the reason we are in Lakeside. In 1986 we traveled to Michigan and stopped at the Lakeside Country Shores office looking for a place to rent. They did not have any rentals but she had a friend in Lakeside who rented a cottage to us. We rented in 1986 and 87 and then in 1992 we bought the cottage.
During the years we also bought several other properties in the area including the building at the corner of Warren Woods that Ruth briefly rented for her office after they sold their office property.
I use to visit with them in their home on the pond and eventually at her retirement village. She was out on her patio filling her bird feeders the last time I visited. Due to Covid-19 I did not have a chance to visit with her this year.
She will be missed by many.

Ruth was always a force to be reckoned with at Woodland Terrace! There weren’t too many activities she wasn’t involved in. She will be greatly missed

Dear Kathy and Steve,
So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I knew your Mom and Dad ever since they moved to Lakeside all those many years ago.
I remember them dancing the polka at oh so many Fire Department dances and other places. My condolences to you two and your entire family.

Our deepest condolences. We are sorry for your loss. We bought a wood desk from her (about 2003?). Our daughter now has that desk. It will be valued for a long time! She was very proud and happy to give us a copy of the history of Union Pier.
