Christine's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Christine here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Christine was a wonderful and kind person. I worked in the same team as hers many years before. She was extremely helpful at the time I was moving back to India. Me and my wife will always remember her for her kindness. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time of grief.

Condolences, love, and prayers from the Peschke's.
Christine's work personality included love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control. Christine's work attire included compassion, kindness, & humility.
I remember department meetings that would conclude with round-table discussions that began with and ended with Christine. Christine once brought a platter of cookies to the break room on a November nineteenth with a note saying "Celebrating being young." Christine helped resolve a crisis for me on that October 8th; her concluding words were the same as on other occasions: "No worries. All is well."

Christine was a treasure of a person. Christine spent hours at church, leading kids in song, leading new families around the labyrinth of a big church, teaching groups and organizing VBS. She was calm in the craziness, loving in every moment , and peaceful when there may be hostility or nervousness.
She would bring a nervous and scared young child into a church classroom and say "Oh you have the best teachers in here today, you are going to have so much fun". She was at her very best when talking to children. Our sons were so blessed to know and be influenced by her, Christine first taught them the Bible. Then taught our sons to lead children's groups. Our family has been touched by Christine's kindness and her love for God. She will truly be missed and remembered.
We celebrated the birth of "baby Lukas", we mourn the death of him too.
Nathan and Jeff, we pray for you and lift you up to God.

I am still shocked and very sad for Lukas and Christine.
It has been an honor to work with her over the years. She was a very talented engineer and a very good person. She was always happy and offering help. I'm really going to miss working with her my whole life.
I will remember her laughter in our last meeting, when I told her that my children turned wet the whole living room while I worked ...
Please accept our condolences. You are in our daily prayers.

To the Strain family and Christine's mother. I had the pleasure of having Christine work for me as an intern at Whirlpool. She was a bright girl and fun to have on our team with bright smile and easy nature. We kept in touch and I was glad to help her get back into Whirlpool a few years later. We ran into each other from time to time and it was always refreshing to talk with her.
I live fust down the street in Stevensville and would see her and family outside their nice house with big grassy yard and that reminded me of what is good in this world. A young family making their way and positively adding to the community. She came to my retirement send off a couple of years back and privately offered me a heartfelt completement. She will be missed from this earth but lives on in glory.
Sincerely,
Steve Kuehl

Christine was a great mentor to me when I first started Whirlpool. We took opex training together so we shared many hours of learning, dinners at Brandywine and a few frustrations on getting a wood airplane to fly where we wanted it to. As a young engineer I learned a lot from Christine in those four weeks on solving problems and also on influencing others to go in a certain direction. After opex class she invited me to join SWE (society of women engineering). She encouraged me to go to the SWE conference with her in Maryland. We had a great adventure and I learned so much from the experience. I remember that we were having such a good time talking that we almost missed boarding our plane :)

After learning about the accident, I'm constantly dwelling on the years of working with Christine...more than 25 years ago. It feels impossible to be true. She was always patient and soft spoken with infectious calmness.

My deepest sympathies to Christine's family. May you know the Lord's comfort and strength in the coming days.
What I always appreciated about Christine was her deep care for others. I never had the pleasure to work with her on a day-to-day basis at Whirlpool, but I've had the pleasure to work with her through many Society of Women Engineers activities at Whirlpool since we first started SWE in this area 17 years ago. I admired that she always encouraged women engineers to do what they wanted in their career, whether that was to become a manager or become a technical expert. Christine always made our encounters more uplifting, and I learned about caring for others from her.

It was a true honor to work with Christine, especially during the time since mid 2019. She made our technical work somehow seem softer and personable. Both my wife and I will miss her. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Strain family.

We loved you Christy like there was no tomorrow. And then today, there wasn’t. We said goodbye to Lukas at his memorial service and now one week later we say goodbye to you. You have joined Lukas in heaven and he probably has a birthday cake for you. We will treasure our last seeing both of you at Lukas’ graduation party on 6/22/2019. How blessed we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
