I spent time across the hall from Bud while he was at Pine Ridge and had the chance to stop in chat with my father. Thank you for granting his wish to go back home. It meant a lot to him.

I had been given a chance to go to the 1969 Boy Scout Jamboree. Mr Talbot loaded me up with film for the trip. I think he gave me 10 rolls. I took photos for three weeks all over the West on the way to and from Idaho. When I got back, he payed to develop the film. Yes I still have the pictures. Later as an adult he treated me as an adult even though I was just 20 and that surprise me. He listened. I graduated the same year as his daughter, Lynn. I wish I had an old photo of him to post and share. Would like to attend the visitation. I was really surprised to read that he kept working Until age 86! Who does that? Bud Talbot.

Farewell to my favorite Uncle, Uncle Bud. I have so many fond memories. Holiday family dinners back in the 50's and 60's. Our home movies where he was always a feature. My days of wandering around the drugstore, drinking cokes at the soda fountain, and reading comic books when I stayed across the street at Grandma Talbot's house. Working on my small coin collection with him (searching through Talbot Drugstore change drawers. Their beautiful house on Lake Michigan. Uncle Bud always had a smile on his face. In fact, I can never remember him being angry or raising his voice.
He was a role model for us all. He worked hard, almost to the end, and played hard to, following his passions, particularly his passion for travel. I'm working hard to follow in his footsteps. All of us should be guided by your attitude towards life. Rest in Peace Uncle!

I enjoyed working at Talbot’s for Bud and Roy in the late 60’s and early 70’s. They were a wonderful, fun family and have
given me great memories. My sincere condolences to the family and his many friends.
Rest in heavenly peace.

Bud was always there to help others. I worked with him for several years and he was an excellent pharmacist and a tireless worker. He always came to work with a smile on his face and a willingness to do whatever was needed. A great man that I am blessed to have known.

I knew Mr. Talbot through the American Baptist Church of Saint Joseph. I also went to school with several of his grandchildren. Jason I'm so sorry to hear this news about your grandfather.

I worked for Bud and his brother Roy in my twenties and am in my 50's now. I have been friends with his niece Patty since high school. My best memory of Bud is of his smoking a pipe, love the smell, he even let me pick a new flavor from a vast selection at Talbot's Drug Store. He even enjoyed me calling him Uncle Bud even though we weren't blood family. I will miss him greatly.

Bud has been a family friend for many many years going back to the First Baptist Church days in Benton Harbor. He truly cared about the residents of Benton Harbor. Tommy I so sorry for your loss.

Bud always greeted each customer, and would speak to them as they were old friends.

Where do I start? Hard to know what to say. Just figured I’d post on here. I love you so much Gramps!! I can never live up to the kind of person you were. I’ll only be able to try and always do my best. You always said, “well Jas, we will just do the best we can. That’s all we can do”. So that’s what I’m doing right now. Just my best and then I can always live with whatever outcome happens. You meant the world to me. I’ve never met anyone who taught me more or who had as much honesty and integrity. I love you so much!! Thank you for making me me 😢.
