William D. Cutts “Bill”, 86, of Decatur, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home in Decatur. He was born July 31, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA to William Cutts and Rosella (Stewart).
Bill was a proud veteran of the Navy. He always had a strong desire to learn and work with his hands, which led to a very successful 35-year career at Lockheed-Martin as an engineer. He forged many relationships during his time coaching pop Warner football which showed the influence he had on the people in his life; with some players keeping in touch even after 50 years! In his free time, he was passionate about woodworking and didn’t come across a problem he couldn’t fix. In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time on the boat with his family.
Bill will be missed by his devoted wife of 66 years, Patricia (Rothling) Cutts, whom he married on July 19, 1958; his daughters, Debbi Krieger, and Brenda (Tim) Tortorelli; his grandchildren, Brent Tortorelli, Amanda (William) Card, Robert Conway, Sam Conway, and Elizabeth Krieger; his great grandchildren, Haidyn Tortorelli, Colton Card, Wyatt Card, William Conway, and Sloan Conway.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Malcolm Cutts; and his parents.
