Virginia's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Virginia Mae Holmes on March 12, 2025, known fondly as “Sam.” Born on April 4, 1942, she left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Tommy in January of 2007. She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Steve and Robyn Holmes of Paw Paw, MI, and Mike and Loretta Holmes of St. Joseph, MI, along with five cherished grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Eldon Meschke, and his wife, Beatrice.
A kind and warm heart, Virginia found joy in the simple things. She relished adventurous motorcycles trips with Tommy and adored creating memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will forever live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Sam. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. Saint Joseph, MI 49085.
