Ginny's Obituary
Virginia “Ginny” Bond, 86, of St. Joseph, MI passed away October 24, 2024 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
Ginny was born February 3, 1938 in Benton Harbor, MI to Almon & Dorothy (Lansing) Tabor. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1956 along with her mother. Ginny worked in the hospitality industry from 1964 until her retirement, most notably Anchor Inn where she earned the nickname “Big Red”.
Ginny is survived by her three children who she was very proud of: Robin Vibbert of St. Joseph, Kenneth (Kristi) Clark of St. Joseph and Raymond (Paget) Clark of Stevensville; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; special aunt Barb Enders; special friend Brenda Murphy; and a small group of 1956 classmates, many of which were friends since grade school.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, beloved brother Horace “Sonny” Tabor, grandfather Walter Tabor, grandmother Florence McHold, special cousin Nanette Tooman, the father of her children Kenneth Clark, 2nd husband Robert Bond, the love of her life Phil Sheehan and son-in-law Gregory Vibbert.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 1, 2024 at Twelve Corners Community Church, 3287 Hicks Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with fellowship to follow.
