On July 3, 1948, he married the former Marie Jarvis at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. He learned to fly and loved soaring the skies in small planes, riding his Harley, boating, snowmobiling, deer hunting at the cabin in Baldwin and ice fishing on Star Lake. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
