Violet's Obituary
Violet M. Stark, 93, of Niles, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at her home.
A private celebration of life will be held and burial will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, Buchanan. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.swemchapel.com.
Violet was born on April 3, 1930, to Benjamin and Clara (Schouff) Coffman in Dowagiac. She helped on the family farm in Buchanan throughout her life. On May 30, 1950, she married Richard Stark in Buchanan. Richard passed away on May 6, 2016. Violet also enjoyed crocheting and baking, often times have family, friends and neighbors bartering for her bread and pies.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Clarence) Miller and Linda (Michael) Allen; grandchildren, Christa Kelly, Jon Miller, Jean Allen and Celest (Kyle) McNeil and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
