Tom's Obituary
Tom Kubath, Jr. was born on June 16, 1965, to Thomas and Marilyn (Zuppke) Kubath in St. Joseph, MI. He was baptized into God’s kingdom and later confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Stevensville. Tom was a devoted husband to his wife of thirty-two years, Michelle (Lindemann) Kubath, and father to children Elijah (Erika Priebe), Jonah, and Julia. He is also survived by his mother Marilyn, sister Katrina (James Lake), granddaughter Lainey, and many cousins, family, and friends.
Tom graduated from Michigan Lutheran High School in 1983, and from Western Michigan University in 1987 with degrees in agriculture and business. His careers included 25 years at Tidy Car, Benton Harbor, and 18 years as an Operator at Cook Nuclear Plant. Besides his active participation in numerous capacities at his church and Michigan Lutheran High School, he raised beef, grapes, and grain on the same Lincoln Township farm as his father Thomas and grandfather Arthur.
Services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Stevensville, with Pastor Jesse Knox officiating on Saturday, May 25th, at 11:30 am. Visitation is from 9:30 am until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Michigan Lutheran High School. In Tom’s honor, please consider donating blood regularly.
