Steven's Obituary
Steven Wayne Aaron “Steve”, 63, was born in Portageville, Missouri on February 21, 1961 to Glenda (Sutton) and Benny Aaron. As the youngest of three boys, he was often involved in a commotion happening around the house. He had to spend much of his time outside so as not destroy anything. He would go on to have three of his own sons to terrorize his household. He loved every second of it and often enjoyed getting his boys riled up.
He ran a successful construction business in Tennessee for many years. This was where he really shined and was able to show off his craftsmanship. He was proud of the work he put in to all his projects and was a jack of all trades. He loved football at every level, but his heart always stayed true to the Oakland Raiders. This passion for the game, and the team, will live on with his son, Cody. If something was broken, he could either fix it on the first attempt, or he'd keep trying until he could figure it out. He was an avid fisherman. You would often find him on the water trying to catch the next big one. And when he undoubtedly succeeded, you could find him frying dinner in the kitchen that evening. He enjoyed cooking and never wrote a recipe down. His son, Conway, will carry on his legacy in the kitchen. He was an enthusiastic collector of all things Dale Earnhardt (Sr. & Jr.) and Budweiser. He taught his sons the best battle strategy in any video game involving a dragon, and then spent many hours leveling up his attack so he could still beat them, even as they got older. When it comes to these games, his son, Cole, is his match.
Steve battled silently for some time before succumbing to sickness on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny; and his brother, Jake. Surviving him are his mother, Glenda; his brother, Michael (Kathy) Aaron; sons, Cody (Megan) Mikel, Conway and Cole Aaron; his grandsons, Carter and Camden Mikel; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will happen at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to offset funeral expenses.
