Sharon was born on January 23, 1947, to Harold and Jane (Daniels) Sheeley in Buchanan. She graduated from Galien High School, class of 1965. Though Sharon dedicated time to Jack Post, Carbon and Food Specialties through her professional life, she was most proud of her twenty-year career as a cook at Galien Schools. On October 21, 1967, she married the love of her life, Allen Trapp in Buchanan.

Sharon had a passion for cooking, baking and was an excellent seamstress. Through the years she crafted Raggedy Ann dolls for all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sharon's life was anchored in a strong Christian faith, which displayed in many ways. Known for her warm and caring nature, she looked after many family members through the years and always had a servant’s heart. She loved her Galien community and provided care in her home for numerous children, treating them as her own.

Sharon also enjoyed shopping, attending craft shows, and spending time with her many dear friends. The Galien Class of 1965 and the Galien Basketball parents’ group held special significance to her, along with numerous other cherished friendships. Her bond with her sisters, “The Sheeley Sisters”, was particularly important to her. In her later years, Sharon found joy in crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading novels and Christian devotions.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Sharon made it a priority to attend their events, transport them wherever needed and supported them in all their endeavors. She treasured family time, always bringing everyone together and making Holidays special.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Allen Trapp; children, Dawn (David) Mitchell of Buchanan, Joseph Trapp of Detroit and Kristin (Mike) Baker of Buchanan; grandchildren, Allison (Dakota) Butcher, Matthew (Danielle) Mitchell, Alyvia Baker, Adyson, and Preston Baker; great-granddaughter, Vivian Butcher; sisters, Donna (Ken) Kelly, Diane (Jack) Payne and Connie Rubeck; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Trapp and Jane (Randy) Sandtveit; brother-in-law, Dean Lockwood and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jane Sheeley; brothers-in-law, Dick Rubeck and Vernon Trapp; and sister-in-law, Darlene Lockwood. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Sharon’s caregivers, Tayona Newbern, Markeyta Penn, Maddy Schau and her sister, Connie, for their loving care they provided over the years.
