Sandra's Obituary
Sandra J. Dings, 79, of Holland, MI, formerly of Dowagiac, MI, passed away on Friday afternoon, January 12, 2024 at her home in Holland, MI.
She was born on August 25, 1944, in Dowagiac, the daughter of the late Duane and Norma (Wilds) Smith. On July 14, 1961, in Cassopolis, MI, she married Raymond Dings Jr, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2020.
Surviving are her four sons – Michael (Brenda) Dings of Jacksonville, FL, Charles (Robin) Dings of Middletown, RI, David Dings of Holland, MI and William (Michelle) Dings of Naples, FL; four grandchildren – Tia Lopez, Tilar Dings, Ryan Paris and Christopher Craig; three great-grandchildren – Alexander Paris, Brooklyn Lopez and Harlow Kuntz; two sisters – Shirley (Robert) Unger and Sharon Clouse, both of Dowagiac; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center Street. Interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles, MI. Friends may visit with Sandra’s family from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 19, at the funeral home.
