The Life of Sam Brice Sr.

Sam Brice of Bangor, Michigan peacefully passed away on September 8th, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Sam was born August 28th 1940 to Henry Brice & Ida Mae Burton from Forest City, Arkansas. Sam was a great son, father, and grandfather and he was a mentor to everyone he spoke to. He was a deacon at Spiritual Church of Christ for over 20 years and an active part of the community.

He married the love of his life Lucy Jean Lewis on October 7, 2000 and they loved each other unconditionally and one day they shall unite again.

Sam leaves to cherish in memory his wife; Lucy Jean Brice of Bangor, MI., daughter; Vanessa (Larry) Fricke of Covert, MI., Kimberly (Johhny) Lewis of Florida, Patrica Reed (Rohman) of Springfield, IL. Sterling Brice of Indianapolis, IN, Stephen Brice of Hudsonville, MI., Katisha Burton (Terrronce) of Kalamazoo, MI., Nancy (Thomas) Covington of Hartford, MI., Brandi (Andrew) Suggs of South Haven, MI., and Ticcara Tillman of Kalamazoo, MI.

Also surviving are his brothers & sisters; Willie (Brenda) Brice of Covert, MI., Albert (Joyce) Moore of Covert, MI., Mamie Manning of South Haven, MI., Robert (Mary) Welch of Cas Grande, AZ., Doretha Moore of Elmhurst, IL., and Auntie; Mabel Kilpatrick of T. Ohio.

Sam was loved dearly and whole heartly by a host of grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special friends; Fred & Renee Snerling.

Preceded in death by his parents; Henry Brice & Ida Mae Burton, son; Sam Brice Jr., daughter; Caprice (Pope) Brice, brother; Robert Burton, and sister; Leatrice Moore and Jean Bowen.

Sam was an Iron worker for the better part of his life and worked 10 years at Bohn Aluminum. He also worked on building homes in his spare time, fixed cars and loved going fishing. He was a real outdoorsman and loved everyone he came in contact whole heartly. He will be missed and remembered.
