Ruby's Obituary
**Ruby Lucille Olsen**, age 93, of South Haven, passed away onto her home in Glory on March 9, 2025, at Bronson South Haven Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1932, and spent her entire life in South Haven.
Ruby married the love of her life, Roy Olsen, at a young age. She worked as a telephone operator, was employed at Murphy's Dime Store, and was also a devoted stay-at-home mother while raising their two children.
Ruby had an adventurous spirit and found joy in swimming at the Wellness Center, taking long walks, and appreciating animals and wildlife. Above all, she loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart. She shared her faith wherever she went and was a dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church for 48 years, serving faithfully and always willing to help where needed.
Ruby embraced life to the fullest and cherished all the blessings God had to offer. She was a kind and loving woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Bertha Plasterer; her husband, Roy Olsen; her grandson, Guy Meachum; and her brother, Floyd Plasterer.
Ruby is survived by her children, Rick (Dawn) Olsen and Renee (Dennis) Lute; her four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sister, Mary Alice McKeown and her sister-in-law, Peggy Mascali.
Visitation for Ruby will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 12:00p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan 49090. Pastor Wayne Muri will officiate. Ruby will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery.
