Rory's Obituary
Rory Raymond Ives passed away February 21, 2025, with his loving wife of 48 years by his side after a long battle with cancer.
Rory was born May 31, 1956, to Robert Allen and Elaine (Johnson) Ives.
Rory was enlisted in the Merchant Marines.
Rory worked at Westview Apartments for many years and most days you could find him in the garage tinkering with cars. He was a great mechanic as well as a master at body work.
Rory is survived by the love of his life Althea (Cates) Ives and his stepson Shannon Cates. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends including Jack Mick, Greg Griffen, Ted Kalin, David Mckinney, Dale Milhouser, and Bobby Felner who were a great help with care.
Rory was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Timothy, Micheal, JoAnn, Robi, and Jennifer. He was also preceded in death by his childhood friend Kevin Sweeney.
Per Rory’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
