Robert's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Allen Rudlaff, age 77, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1947, to Carl and Augusta (Hebner) Rudlaff in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army. On August 8, 1981, he married the love of his life, the former Mary Jane Jackowiak, and they spent 43 loving years together.
Visitation with Bob’s family will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Heritage Chapel (8747 US 31. Berrien Springs, Michigan 49103.) After a short break the family will again welcome friends and family from 5:30 – 6:30 pm with a service starting at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Bob will eventually be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob’s name can be made out to either the American Heart Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation. Bob retired from Tyler’s Refrigeration after 38 years. He loved spending time with family, camping, fishing, hunting, and working on his puzzle books. Bob loved working in the basement, especially on his beer can collection. During the summer Bob and Mary Jane would go up north to their son’s property for relaxation and watching the wildlife.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Rudlaff; children, Carolyn (Thomas) Walton, Robert (Carol) Rudlaff, Michelle (Scott) Breinling, Scott (Stephanie) Rudlaff; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John (Midge) Rudlaff; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and in-laws, Carl and Augusta Rudlaff, Fred, Herman, Herbert (Mary), Erine, Arthur, Walter (Melinda), Matilda (Arthur) Sonnenburg, Carla (Larry) Hamilton, Ruth (Bernice) Elis, Dewey Thrash, Sylvester and Betty Jackowiak, and Jeff Carr.
