Kerly's Obituary

Robert “Kerly” Kerlikowske, 77, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday – March 22, 2024 at Corewell Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.

Kerly was born on January 13, 1947 in Benton Harbor, MI, to the late Roland and Luella (Breadlow) Kerlikowske.

He was a 1967 graduate of Lakeshore High School. Kerly served his country while in the U.S. Navy on the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. On August 8, 1981 at Zion Evangelical Church in St. Joseph he married Shari Csapo. He worked at Whirlpool as a CNC Lathe Operator for years, and retired from Churchill Farms as a Construction Coordinator and later as a Maintenance Supervisor. Kerly was an avid fan of remote control cars, enjoyed woodworking and birds. But most of all he loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Kerly is survived by his wife Shari Kerlikowske; sister – Carol (Jeff) Clements of Pullman, MI; mother-in-law Mary Csapo of St. Joseph; in-laws Suzanne (George) Souliotis of Wichita Falls, TX and Tibor Csapo of St. Joseph; and two nieces and two nephews.
