Patricia's Obituary
Patricia Raye Breyen, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, with her family and friends by her side. She was born on January 15, 1943, to Harold and Katharine (Callas) Rapp in Chicago, Illinois. Patricia married Henry Breyen on October 23, 1961, and they spent 53 years together until his passing in February of 2015.
Celebration services will be held at Saron Lutheran (510 Main St.) in Saint Joseph on Friday, January 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm where family and friends may attend. For a more lasting memory, donations in Patricia’s name can be made out to either the Michigan Heart Association or Berrien County Animal Services. Patricia was a member at Saron Lutheran Church since she was 4 years old, and she would sing in the church choir. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1961. Patricia was a waitress and hostess for Tosi’s restaurant for 34 years until her retirement in 2022. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Saint Jospeh Senior Center and the local YMCA. She loved animals, especially her cat, Oscar and her dog, Lilly. Who preceded her passing.
Pat will always be remembered as unselfish and a servant to others and always put others above her.
She loved going to Florida to visit her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they loved seeing Gigi. Her birds she fed on her back deck will also miss her.
Patricia is survived by her children, Rebecca (Allen) Sebrechts, Michael Breyen; grandchildren, David (Candice) Paukowits, Amber (Tim) Gaul, Hannah (Dustin) Lambrecht, Alex Breyen; step granddaughters, Kelly, Kalli Sebrechts, eight great-grandchildren; sister, Marge Heeter; sister-in-law, Laurel Haines; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Henry Breyen.
