Nelda Elaine's Obituary
Nelda Elaine Virgo passed away September 30, 2024 in Hansen Hospice Center. She was 91 years old. Born on September 7, 1933 to the late Otto and Lucy (Corbin) Jensen.
She married Anthony Richard Virgo on September 7, 1952. They had 5 children together. Rosanne (Geary) Garvison, Beverly (Art) Herman, Mary Virgo who passed away in 1970, Susan Virgo and Christopher Virgo. Anthony passed away in 1999

Nelda is survived by 3 siblings. Richard (Sandy) Jensen, Marie Carr and Dixie (Bill) Bowne. One brother preceded her in death, Lawrence Jensen. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She loved playing the piano and singing in the church choir. She was a lifelong member of the First English Lutheran Church which later was renamed Peace Lutheran Church. She did bookkeeping for the church and joined Priscilla Circle. She worked as a bookkeeper for Hales Department Store and Sherman Dairy Bar which she retired from in 1995.
Visitation will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Travis Wilson will Officiate. Nelda will be laid to rest in the Peace Lutheran Memorial Garden. Memorials contributions may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church, 06321 Blue Star Hwy, South Haven, MI 49090 or Corewell Health Hospice of South Haven 05055 Blue Star Hwy, South Haven, MI 49090.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel-Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
