Nancy's Obituary
Nancy Lou (English) Grib passed away peacefully at her home in South Haven, MI. on December 9, 2024 with her husband by her side. She was born on a potato farm in the “thumb” of Michigan on June 9, 1948 to Lowell and Viola (Kemmeter) English.
Nancy was passionate about her God, husband, family, good friends, and quilting. Her family and friends will remember her as the one who was always there for them, whenever and wherever, to visit, provide care, or support in any way.
Her professional nursing career spanned over forty years in the areas of oncology, public health, mental health, case management, home care, and hospice.
She is survived by her first husband, Ray Kline; their son Shane Kline and grandson Dakota William; daughter Heidi Rinea (Kline) Peterson, her husband David and grandchildren Ciara English, Rayne Margaret, Eliana Rose, and Judah David Peterson.
Also surviving are her husband of fourteen years: John A. Grib, his children John Ryan Grib, his wife Megan (Joffray) Grib, Shawna (Grib) Henry, her husband Todd Henry, Cara Grib and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gene, Leon, Fr. John, Leslie, and her beloved sister Rosemary (English) Simmons.
Nancy would remind her loved ones that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. She will keep her foot in the gate of Heaven until you all come home. Keep a stiff upper lip and a tight downdraft.
As per Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Services will take place at a later date in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy requested that memorials be sent to her childrens’ church, the Bethany Community Church of Duluth Minnesota 6700 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN. 55807 and/or Centrica Care Navigators 7100Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI. 49009.
