Michael Bruce Brigham “Mick”, 80, of Decatur, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 in Kalamazoo. He was born June 4, 1942 in Dowagiac to John and Betty (Dorman) Brigham.
Michael was a graduate of Decatur High School, class of 1960, where he was well known for his talent on the Decatur boys’ basketball team. Before his retirement, Michael worked for Jessup Door Company in Dowagiac for over 30 years. Anyone who knew Michael knew that he was a long-time, dedicated U of M football fan and Cleveland Indians’ baseball fan since the 1950s. He also enjoyed golfing, and spending time amongst his gorgeous flower gardens.
Michael is survived by the love of his life for 40 years, Judy Brigham; his children, Barry (Kerry) Brigham of Kalamazoo, and Michelle Fretz of Richland; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his siblings, Greg (Carol) Brigham of Charlotte, NC, Drenda (Dick) Thornberg of Paw Paw, and Daronda Hendrickson of Decatur; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Darla Christ, and Gary Brigham; and his parents.
Per Michael’s request, no services will be held; cremation has taken place privately.
