Melody Kay Weaver, 80, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Munson Medical Center in Cadillac, MI.
A private celebration of life will be held with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, Buchanan. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.swemchapel.com.
Melody was born on June 18, 1941, to Donald and Daisy (Snyder) Clemans in Buchanan. She attended Buchanan High School. On February 25, 1957, she married Glenn “Sonny” Weaver. Melody worked for Niles Community Schools and retired after 38 years of service. She enjoyed reading, going to the casino and traveling. Most of all, Melody cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren, often doing crafts or puzzles with them.
Melody is survived by her daughter, Carla (Craig) Allee; grandchildren, Chad (Denise) Allee, Chanan Bonds and Cody (Tristan) Allee; great-grandchildren, Annabeth Allee, Aubin Allee, Avalynne Allee, Amara Allee, Baylee Bonds, Katelyn Bonds, Harlow Allee, Hadleigh Allee and sister, Onlee Clemans. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Daisy Clemans; husband of 46 years, Glen “Sonny” Weaver; grandson-in-law, Rickey Bonds, Jr. and siblings, Donald Clemans, Jr., Jack Clemans, Jim Clemans and Betty Neidlinger.
