Marilyn's Obituary

Marilyn Jean Arnott, 90 0f Wyoming, passed away on August 20, 2024. Born on September 3, 1933 to Herman and Beulah Weigold. United in marriage on April 23, 1955 at the United Methodist Church to the late Donald David Arnott.
Marilyn is survived by her children; Jean Grudzinskas, David (Brenda) Arnott, Sue Misner, 8 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband of 64 years Donald Arnott. Also preceded in death by her brother Herman F. Weigold Jr.
Marilyn graduated from Oxford High School in 1951 as the Valedictorian of her class. She went on to study Horticulture at Michigan State University, where she met her future husband, Donald Arnott. Marilyn graduated from MSU in 1954 with a Masters in Horticulture. Marilyn and Don married and together raised three children. Marilyn and Don were members of the First Congregational Church in South Haven, where Marilyn was a member of the Women’s Fellowship. Marilyn was a Master Gardener, and was very active in the Scott Club, the Garden Club and the Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum.
Visitation for Marilyn will be on Saturday September 21, 2024 from 12 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church 651 Phoenix St. South Haven, Michigan, 49090. Pastor David Frey will officiate. Marilyn will be laid to rest in the Memorial Garden at First Congregational Church along side her husband Donald.
