MaryEllen's Obituary

Mary Ellen Juby, 64, of Grand Beach, MI, passed away on Monday – December 16, 2024. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.

Mary was born on July 31, 1960 in Chicago, IL, to the late Roger and Eleanor (Trencan) Juby.

MaryEllen and her family never let her disabilities define her. She enjoyed camping, traveling, going to concerts, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Bur Mary’s biggest passion was going to and watching the Chicago Cubs, Bears and the Blackhawks. If she wasn’t at a game you could find her standing in front of the TV yelling “c’mon.”

Mary brought so much love and happiness to everyone she met. Those that knew her couldn’t help but love her. “The Babe” will forever be our guardian Angel.

Mary is survived by siblings – Eldon (Jeri) Juby of Michigan City, IN, Michael (Pammie) Juby of Michiana, MI, and Kathleen (Gregory) Kolasa of Onsted, MI; nieces – Amanda Juby of LaPorte, IN, Claire (Nick) Krause of Michigan City, IN and Sara (Marcus) Beal of Brooklyn, MI; and nephew – Michael (Kirstie) Kolasa of Onsted, MI. She is preceded in death by a nephew – Christopher Juby.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday – December 23, 1:00pm, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in New Buffalo, with Father Basker Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation with the family precedes the service from 10:30-12:30am at the Sommerfeld Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Lake Church. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.sommerfeldchapel.com
