Mark Boettcher, 72, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Mark will be deeply missed. He wore his heart on his sleeve—conscientious and peace-loving, with a quick wit and a mischievous streak. He was born June 1, 1952 in Benton Harbor to Louis & Ella (Downer) Boettcher. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1971. On April 23, 1983 he married the love of his life Lori Johll in Stevensville.

Mark had a varied career, working at Pebblewood Golf Course, Cook Nuclear, Modern Plastics, and Chardon Rubber for many years, as well as serving as a custodian for several local public schools. He loved golf and was a talented musician, playing guitar, drums, and keyboard. He also adored his cats, Lou and “The Kid.”

Mark is survived by his wife Lori Boettcher; daughters Nicole Boettcher (Graham Mason) and Anna Boettcher (Amy Huang); son Erik Mark Boettcher, and his son Gavin Avry Kraus; sisters Jeanine Sillaway and Barbara Treas (Joe Sigers); and his dear nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents Lou and Ella, his brothers Paul and Kurt, his sister Nanette, and nephew Jeff.
