Marguerite's Obituary
Marguerite Joanna Coats, 89, passed away on January 13, 2025, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Marguerite was born October 30, 1935, to Elmer Liton and Eddie Carolyn Hill.
Marguerite was well known to many folks in South Haven as she had resided at the River Terrace Senior Apartments for more than twenty years. Many knew her from her travels in her power chair.
She leaves behind her friends and acquaintances at First Congregational Church, Walmart, South Haven Memorial Library, VanBuren Public Transit, Country House Furniture, the Farmers Market, Meijer and many others.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donal R. Coats in 1976, parents and three siblings.
Following her wishes, the Filbrandt Chapel has had her ashes interned with her late husband Donal in Caldwell Cemetery in Pipestone Township in Eau Claire, Michigan.
