Margaret Anita Tarvid, 94, of New Buffalo, MI passed away on Tuesday – Feb. 11, 2025 at Corewell Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Margaret was born on May 17, 1930 in Chicago, IL to the late Anton and Madeline (Januchowski) Tadrowski.
Margaret is survived by her children – Madeline Tarvid of Seattle, WA, Martin (Luanne) Tarvid of Blue Island, IL, Mitch (Marge) Tarvid of Elmhurst, IL, Matthew (Terri) Tarvid of St. Peters, MO, and Marcie Tarvid of Broken Arrow, OK; four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother – William.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday – Feb. 17, 11:00am, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in New Buffalo, with Father Basker Lopez officiating. Burial is on Tues. Feb. 18, at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. Visitation with the family precedes the service from 9:30-10:30am at Sommerfeld Chapel.
