Margaret “Peggy” Marzano, 64, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. The world lost a wonderful person, and many lives will never be the same without Peg in their lives. Her memory will continue on in the many lives she touched. Her smile will be missed by all.
Peggy was born on April 19, 1960, in Evergreen Park, IL, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Kalscits) Lynch. On February 16, 1980, she was united in marriage to Raymond Marzano.
Surviving are her daughter – Judi (Sean) Pope; granddaughter and shining light in her life – Kaylee Pope; sisters – Mary Kaye Dempsey, Patricia (John) Hurley and Eileen (James) Weyhe; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 44 years; Raymond Marzano Sr; son – Raymond Marzano Jr; and sister – Judith Lynch.
Honoring Peggy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation. A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at a later date. In her last selfless act on earth, Peggy gave the gift of life through organ and/or tissue donation. Arrangements were entrusted to Clark Chapel - Starks Family Funeral Homes, Dowagiac.
