Lora's Obituary
She was born on March 26, 1957, in Dowagiac, the daughter of Darwin and Ann (Murphy) Evans. Lora was a 1975 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School. Her passion in life was roller skating. When Lora was a child, her cousin, Earl Partridge, owned Ramona Roller Rink in Sister Lakes, where Lora and her family grew up skating every weekend. She loved animals and had many cats and dogs over the years. But mostly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews and their children.
Surviving are three siblings – Cathy (Jirair) Barseghian, Brad Evans and Cynthia Hogue; seven nieces and nephews – Brian, Angela, Zhirik, Derik, Jeffrey, Casey and Stacia; thirteen grandnieces and grandnephews – Saturn, Joseph, Ashton, Trenton, Melanie, Hannah, Calvin, Ava, Carson, Colby, Katerina, Blaine, and Sydney; four – great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews – Colton, Caleb, Lucian and Jade.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister – Sandra Evans; niece – Sarah; and grandnephew – Jaxson.
A service to celebrate Lora’s life will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 29, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, where friends may visit with the family from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
