Laverne's Obituary
Laverne Arthur Hosier, 85, of South Haven, passed away in Mishawaka, Indiana on Sunday March 23, 2025. He was born in Breedsville, MI. on January 25, 1940 to Wesley and Virginia (Nelson) Hosier. He married Carol Ann Robbins on July 2, 1960 in St. Joseph, Michigan. They shared 64 years of marriage.
Visitation For Laverne will be at the Filbrandt Chapel on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made in Laverne’s memory to South Haven Hospice, 05055 Blue Star Hwy., South Haven, Michigan 49090.
Laverne worked as a pipe fitter and was a member of Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union #357. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to golf and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Laverne was a lifetime member of the South Haven Moose Club, South Haven Rod and Gun Club, the Riverbend Boat Club and the Steelheaders. He was a Star of the Masonic Lake Lodge.
Laverne is survived by his children; Vern (Teresa) Hosier, South Haven, Michigan, Don (Cindy) Hosier, Bellfair, Washington and Tamara (Carl) Leadingham, South Haven, Michigan, brother, Karl (Rita) Hosier, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Laverne was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; Patricia Covey, Connie Dunnavert and Karen Chumley.
