Kelly Jean Kling, 54, life-long Dowagiac resident, passed away, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Kelly was born August 23, 1967 in Dowagiac to Richard & Patricia (Cooper) Kling. She graduated from Dowagiac Union High School, Class of 1986. Kelly devoted her life to her family, taking care of them and her household. For several years she was employed as a receptionist at Myrttle House in Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac. Kelly enjoyed shopping, not only for shopping, but for people watching. She also enjoyed cooking, for which she used the recipes passed on to her by her Mother. In her free time, Kelly enjoyed arts & crafts, crocheting, cross stitch and adult coloring books. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kelly is survived by her daughter Allissa (Joseph Thompson) Wright of Dowagiac; her fiancée Todd Pond of Dowagiac; her son-in-law Nicholas Baker of Buchanan; five grandchildren-Audrey & Shelby Baker, Mathew & Nickalass Swan, Gage Eubank; siblings-Timothy (Irinia Sparks) Kling of Elkhart, IN, Roger (Marsha) Kling of Eau Claire, Suzette (Randy) Ahonen of Dowagiac; her former husband John A. Wright of Dowagiac; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Stephanie Baker on January 31, 2022.
