Joyce's Obituary
Joyce A. Tetzlaff, 83, of Stevensville, Mi, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Powell House Assisted Living. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, at 11 AM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, with Deacon Jason Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 10, from 5 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Joyce was born on October 5, 1941, in South Bend to Robert and Stella (Stefanski) Greenwood. Joyce graduated from Washington Clay High School in 1959. On May 7, 1960, she married the love of her life, Arthur “Art” Tetzlaff, in South Bend, IN. The two were happily married for 57 years before his passing in 2017. Joyce enjoyed bowling and golfing and participated on leagues for both activities. However, what brought Joyce the most joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her children, Jim (April) Tetzlaff of St. Joseph, MI and Jill (Bob) Bonnell of Mishawaka, IN; daughter-in-law Tina (Robb) Tetzlaff-Wallis; grandchildren Jake, Kasi (Mike), Damon (Patty), Corey (Laura), Zack, Ben, Brett (Laura), Jenny, Heather (Indio) and Ashley (Adam); great-grandchildren Kennedy, Leona, Jovie, Sebastian, Kyan, Lillith, Emerson, Connor, Emily, Ethan, Emmett, Addison, Ashton, and Auston; siblings, Jay (Diane) Greenwood; nephew Adam; nieces Cara and Marnie. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick; and sister-in-law, Karyl Tetzlaff.
