John “Jack” Fleming Jr, 73, of Sister Lakes, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at his home.
He was born on November 26, 1951 in Chicago, IL, the son of John Sr and Rita (Flaherty) Fleming. Jack worked as a police officer for the Chicago Police Department for 30 years until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed riding his tractor and was very proud of his well-manicured yard. Jack liked playing cards but mostly loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his brother – Dennis (Renee) Fleming; sister – Kathleen (Larry) Muscarello; two nieces – Erin (Mike) Aichner and Kelly (Jim) Durnell; three grandnephew and grandnieces – Jake, Elin, and Riley Aichner.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother – Jim Fleming.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 51841 Leach Road, Dowagiac, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until the time of service.
