John's Obituary
John F. Burkhard, age 75, of Cadillac, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2025. Born on February 10, 1950, in St. Joseph, Michigan, John was a man of great knowledge, strength, and a love for life.
John is survived by his two brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Burkhard and Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Burkhard. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
John worked for over 20 years at Whirlpool Corporation, where he earned his journeyman electrician license. Following his time at Whirlpool, he went on to work at various establishments in the Holland area. John’s career reflected his commitment to excellence and his strong work ethic.
Outside of his professional life, John had a profound love for the outdoors. He was incredibly knowledgeable about many subjects, especially nature. Whether he was out in the woods identifying trees or fixing an old car, John’s passion for learning and his hands-on skills were evident in all he did. He was also known for his enjoyment of camping, rummage sales, and finding a good bargain.
John’s family and friends will remember him as a kind-hearted, hardworking, and inquisitive man who always loved to share his knowledge. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
A private service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in John’s memory.
He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished.
