Jocelyne Oslakovic, 88, formerly of New Buffalo passed away on Friday-March 29, 2024 at Trail Creek Place in Michigan City, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Jocelyne was born on Dec. 12, 1935 in Shanghai, China to the late Andre and Suzanne (Mauer) Gewitsch. In 1957, she married Clem Tuszynski in Casablanca Morocco, a union which produced four children.
She loved to travel and visited 27 countries during her life. While growing up in China for 15 years, she learned to speak - French, English and Shanghainese. After getting married, Jocelyne settled in New Buffalo, MI. She worked at Sprague Devices in Michigan City for over 28 years. She was greatly loved by her family and they will dearly miss her.
Jocelyne is survived by her three of her children – John (Jean) Tuszynski of Bridgman, MI, Sheryl Brower of Three Oaks, MI and Ronald (Kathy) Tuszynski of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding Jocelyne in death are her son – Mark Tuszynski, her parents, her first husband-Clem Tuszynski, her second husband-Joseph Oslakovic; sister-Micheline Gewitsch of Versailles, France, and a grandson-Jason Brower.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat. April 6, 3:00pm, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. Visitation with the family will start at 1:00pm, followed by a short service ending at 3:00pm. Private burial at Pine Grove Cemetery will follow the service.
