Jessica's Obituary

We are writing this in celebration of the life of Jessica Lynn Hanner who was born February 28, 1982, and was received into heaven on May 21, 2024 at the age of 42. We know her Mom and Aunt Phyllis were waiting with open arms for Jessica. Her brother Lee might have been a bit hesitant to share their mom again, but we’re sure he welcomed her with open arms and a loving smile also.

Jessica was baptized on September 24, 2023 at the Redemption Church of Eau Claire with her fellow Christians bearing witness.

Jessica is the daughter of Al and Judi Corzine. She brought such joy into their lives. Jessica was her dad’s special little Paisan. She lived with her parents on Red Arrow in Coloma her entire life. She started working at McDonalds while she was in high school, and it was the only job she ever worked and one she enjoyed. You could find her first thing in the morning serving you through the drive through with a smile and a little harassing.

Jessica graduated from Coloma Community Schools in 2001 where she attended all her school years.

We could guarantee you would see her at Bingo every Tuesday night doing one of the things she loved the best, she would be there hours before it started so she could get her lucky seat. Jessica also loved to cook, especially for her dad, she loved to read books and loved going to the movies. She enjoyed camping and many times you would find her in the camper reading a book or just napping.

Jessica was suddenly taken from us without warning and has left such a hole in many lives but especially her dad, Al Corzine; her sisters, Debbie (Kenny) Strain, Robin Hanner, Cindy Gales, Shelley (Roger) Mazigian, and Terry (Shawn) Lampros all who reside in Coloma and a brother Chris (Kim) Corzine of Niles. She leaves behind so many nieces and nephews who call her Aunt Ca and she loves them all. She had so much love for each of them, but she did have her favorites though haha. Everyone knows who they were.

She has joined in Heaven her mom, Judi Corzine; her brothers, Lee Hanner and Mark Corzine; and her uncle, David Rogers plus her very special aunt, Phyliss Clark.
Jessica chose to do one of the greatest things and that was become an Organ Donor. Because of her selfless act other families will be able to make more memories with their loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at Midway Baptist Church, 7517 Red Arrow Hwy, Watervliet with Pastor Ron Hayes officiating on Saturday May 25 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Friday, May 24 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at the church. Arrangements through Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph. Please feel free to share a memory with the family online at www.starks-menchinger.com.
