James's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of James Allen Payne, who passed away on the evening of March 23, 2025. James was born on March 15, 1972, in Allegan, Michigan to Wanda Lyndsey Burkhead and Carl Burkhead.
James is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his second mother Sharon Crisman and sister Karla Stienke.
James, who lived caring for his loved ones, is survived by his wife Darliethe Payne, children Bianca Allen, Zechariah Allen, Johannah Allen and Hannah Allen, grandchildren, Zy’on Allen and Dewayne ‘Jr., siblings Connie Wilson (husband Dave Wilson), Mary Hartman (husband Burt Hartman), Terry Burkhead, Mike Burkhead and Gilbert Burkhead.
James was an amazing father and husband. James lived to make everyone smile. He will forever be missed.
Visitation for James will take place on Friday, April 11 from 12:00 P.M – 1:00 P.M at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave, South Haven, Michigan 49090 until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M.
