James Patrick “Jim” McGuigan

Jim's Obituary

James (Jim) Patrick McGuigan, 75 of Three Oaks, passed away on March 2, 2024, surrounded by his family. Jim was born November 7, 1948, in Michigan City, IN to Clare (Mick) and
Anita (Seid) McGuigan.

Jim was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Navy on the light cruiser USS Oklahoma City. After he was discharged from the Navy, he was employed at the Three Oaks Post Office until he retired at 55.
Jim was married to the love of his life Roxann (Zabel). They were able to share 15 wonderful years together.

Jim loved sports and was a diehard fan of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and Michigan State Spartans. He loved music and was friends with musician Rick Derringer, and
even traveled some with the band. He was an active member of the Three Oaks American Legion and was instrumental in starting the Legions softball team.

Jim is survived by his wife Roxann of Three Oaks. Sons Jeff (Sandy) McGuigan of Galien, MI and Jamie (Heather) McGuigan of Springfield, MO and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mike.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Three Oaks American Legion at a later date.
