James's Obituary
James (Jimmy) Gerard Pezzuto Jr. 51, passed away on January 9, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1973, in Douglas, Michigan to James Gerard Sr. and Vickie Lynn (Knight) Peterson.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Jimmy had a smile that lit up every room he walked into, an infectious laugh and rarely met a stranger. He loved his family fiercely, including his many doggies through the years and he had a special place in his heart for his nieces he loved to pieces.
Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman with a superb green thumb and he took great joy in hunting, fishing and teaching his son the way of the outdoors. He was a master of most trades and mechanically gifted. He felt it vitally important to support his wife and son in every way he could, going to great lengths to ensure their happiness and safety.
He was extremely proud to share his knowledge with his son and was never prouder than to see his son use that knowledge to start building a business they soon hoped to share and enjoy. Above all was his love for his queen, Toni, his shopping partner, dancing partner and love of his life.
He is survived by his loving Wife Toni Pezzuto, Son Christopher Pezzuto, Mother Vickie and Stepfather Jack Peterson, his Father James Pezzuto Sr. and Stepmother Teresa, Sisters Stacy DuBord and Ivy Pezzuto, Stepbrothers Jack and Lance Peterson, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Douglas and Pamela Getman, Sister-in-laws Tashia (Peter) Honcharenko, Lindsay (Alex) Hayes, Nieces Haley, Ellie, Della, Olivia, Isabella and Nephew Jacob.
A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Filbrandt Chapel 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
