Helen Fern Case, 98, of Eau Claire, passed away, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 4071 Naomi Rd., Sodus, with Rev. Mikki Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Church until the time of the service. Helen was born August 6, 1926 in Benton Harbor to Chester & Hazel Wycoff. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1944 and attended South Bend Business College. On October 31, 1948, she married Clarence “Pete” Case at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Helen was employed for many years as a secretary at Sodus Fruit Exchange/Wilderness Foods in Sodus, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and St. Joseph Benton Harbor Elks Lodge Emblem Club, and a volunteer at The Morton House and The Mendel Center.
Helen is survived by her children-Duane (Susan) Case of Dowagiac, Sharon (Lee) Woerner of Sarasota, FL, Norma Hasse of Stevensville, Dean Case of Sodus; numerous grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law Morton Case of Dowagiac; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete on August 2, 2017, her daughter-in-law Johnny Case in 2024, grandson Shaun Neumann in 1984, and her brother Russell Wycoff, Sr.
