Harv's Obituary
Harvey Dean “Harv” Steinke 84 passed away December 6, 2024 at his Stevensville home. Harvey was born February 11, 1940 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Arthur and Mamie (Berg) Steinke. He graduated from Rensselaer high school in Indiana. On July 16,1960 he married the Love of his life Barbara Gale Hamacher. Harvey worked for many years as a maintenance manager at Bendix in Stevensville, Michigan.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in the garage and yard. He loved traveling. He and Gale got to visit every state before she passed February 18th 2010.
Harvey leaves behind his son, Robert “Bob” and daughter-in-law, Charlene Steinke of Baroda, Michigan. Loving granddaughter, Jessica (Cory) Kimbrell of Baroda. Loving grandson, James Steinke of Stevensville and 6 great grandkids that he loved watching grow up Keigh, Kraven, Keirra, Kimbrell, Ava, Abby, and Emily Steinke. One brother Fred (Margie) Steinke and sister Lucille Walker.
The family will be having a service for Harvey in the spring. Please check back here for updates.
