Harold's Obituary

Harold Jimmy Cagle 86, of South Haven, went to be with the Lord on August 29th 2024.

Born on October 7, 1937 in Haleyville, AL and transplanted to Michigan, Harold graduated from South Haven High School in 1956. In 1959 Harold married the love of his life Bonnie (Bunch) and during the next 65 years added 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren to his family, who he loved without measure.

Harold retired from South Haven Rubber Company. Harold was a mover and a planter. An Alabama boy relocated to Michigan who loved nature and farming. Along with his best friend Alton Johnson of 55+ years, they had many adventures in farming, never making much money but lots of memories and good times.

To his son Tim, he shared his walk: to his daughter Robin, he shared his blue eyes; together with his wife Bonnie, they cultivated love for family and friends. Harold loved his grandchildren with his whole heart, along with his wife Bonnie and the grandkids they were always on some kind of adventure...from camping at Bear Cave to Spring Break trips to Florida, Tennessee or somewhere in between.

Harold also loved his church family at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Because of his faith in Jesus Christ, he shared the gospel in hopes of many joining him in his current place of residence: Heaven.

Harold will be missed greatly by his wife Bonnie (Bunch) children Tim (Debbie) Cagle, Robin (Carl) Smith, his granddaughters Cheryl (Jay) Zielinski, Jennifer (Mike) Strebeck, Holli (Nate) Lindsay, Megan Smith (Chad Meachum) and great-grandchildren: Parker, Leo, Max, Grace, Brody, Gavin, Leah, Layla, Amelia.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Shelby and Margie Cagle, 2 sisters Eva Cantrell and Jackie Cagle, 2 brothers Earl Cagle and Coy Cagle. Harold is survived by a brother Billy Cagle.

There will be a visitation at the Filbrandt Chapel on September 6, 2024 at 11am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm with Pastor Larry Phillips & Associate Pastor Mick Schmid will be officiating. Memorial contributions in honor of Harold may be made to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 419 Cherry St., South Haven, Michigan 49090.

Your last move is over, Harold, now your bloom is big, bold and bright.
