Gregory's Obituary
Gregory Daniel Smith, 70, of Elkhart, Indiana, and Woodland Park, Colorado, passed into heavenly rest suddenly on Friday, 23 August 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Jeanne Smith, and his brother, Brett Smith. He is survived by his son from a previous marriage, Nathaniel Smith, his wife, best friend, and soulmate Cindy Smith, and her children, Jennifer Kemble, Robert Weisweaver, and Bryan Weisweaver; and grandchildren, Mackenzie Weisweaver, Keighla Exum, Hunter Exum, Shemar Weisweaver, and Samuel Weisweaver.
Greg worked as a mechanic before retiring into fulfilling hobbies of fixing up old houses and being an amateur historian. He volunteered at times in his life helping regional high school debate teams. He loved dogs, felt at home in mountains, enjoyed walking in nature, and studied the histories of many places and times.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 2pm, Sunday, 6 October, at Ferrettie/Baugo Creek County Park in Osceola, Indiana.
