Glenn's Obituary
Glenn J. Schultz, 96, of Dowagiac, passed away early Sunday morning, September 29, 2024, at his home.
He was born on September 18, 1928, in Three Rivers, Michigan, the only child of the late Glenn and Marjorie (Avery) Schultz.
On June 28, 1948, Glenn was united in marriage to the former Mary Lou Keeley. In 1961, Glenn purchased Keeley’s Liquor Store in Dowagiac, from his father-in-law, Lloyd Keeley. He was the owner / operator until his retirement in 1979. Glenn was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking and spent many years making clocks.
Surviving are two children – David (Julianne) Schultz, and Debora (Dennis) Collett; five grandchildren – Toby (Michaela) Schultz, Todd (Karen) Schultz, Amber (Anthony) Nutt, Jade (Breanna) Collett, and Diamond (Kassy) Collett; nine great-grandchildren – Sawyer, Kayley, Travis, Adrien, Aurora, Kealey, Brayden, Meladee, and Axle.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 42 years – Mary Lou Schultz on March 1, 1991; and son Douglas Schultz on March 23, 2020.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Glenn’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Riverside Cemetery, 400 Riverside Drive, Dowagiac.
