Gaynel's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 24, 2025 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the funeral home. Gaynel was born March 10, 1950 in Benton Harbor, MI to Myron & Helen (Cleary) Ring. She graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary High School in Saginaw, MI. Gaynel worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for over 20 years as well as Edward Rose and Sons as a Leasing Agent. Gaynel enjoyed going to the movies, shopping, and casino. She also loved spending time with family and attending many events for her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Gaynel is survived by her sons Matthew (Kimberly) Henke and Michael Henke; grandchildren Kali Henkie (Fiancé Brody Rinehart), Makenna Henke and Kora Henke; brother Myron “Lee” (Sandy) Ring; sister Jamie Dienes; sister-in-law Nancy Ring; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Gaynel was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward “Jim” Ring.
