Fred's Obituary
Fred E. Clarke, 89, of Dowagiac, passed away early Monday morning, May 20, 2024, at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville, MI.
He was born on September 12, 1934, in Dowagiac, the son of Carlyle and Ida (Myers) Clarke. Fred was a veteran of the United States Navy. On May 4, 1957, Fred was united in marriage to Sharon Fritz who preceded him in deaths in 2015.
Surviving are three children – Pamela (Becky Martinez) Clarke, Vicki (Chris) Colvin and Fred (Rechele Herman) Clarke; four grandchildren – Brett (Nisse) Graham, Kirk (Elizabeth) Graham, Stuart Clarke and Sab Clarke; two great-grandchildren – Amelia and Kye Graham; sister – Judy (Earle) Corak and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother – Jack Clarke.
He was also a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Riverside Cemetery, 400 Riverside Drive, Dowagiac. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St, Dowagiac.
