Evelyn's Obituary

Evelyn Berniece (Barnett) Andrews, age 94 of Niles, Michigan died Sunday, September 22, 2024. She was born in Sutherland, Nebraska to the late Ralph William Barnett and Florence Irene Barnett.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Becky Gallina of Murfreesboro, TN and Susie Ferry and husband Tom Ferry of Eau Claire, MI; two sons, Jay Andrews and wife Barbara Andrews of Dearborn, MI and Ralph Andrews of Mineral, VA; nine grandchildren, Kate Gallina McNeil and husband Ben, Frank Mitchell Gallina and wife Amber, Nicholas Ivor Gallina and wife Samantha, Thomas Ivor Ferry and wife Emily, Kelly Jo Ferry Severin and husband Matt, Madelyn Grace Andrews, Griffin Ivor Andrews, Bethany Kathryn Andrews, and Kelsie Mae Barlow and husband Austin; ten great-grandchildren, Corrie Lu Gallina, Frank Murphy Gallina, Olivia Margaret Gallina, Mitchell Ivor Gallina, Evelyn Ann McNeil, Alison Grace Ferry, Kayla Quinn Ferry, Brody Thomas Severin, Abby Jo Frances Severin and Evelyn Grace Downing; and one sister Virginia Hill.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, Ivor Roy Andrews; parents Ralph William Barnett and Florence Irene (Griffin) Barnett; two infant sons Dennis Vernon and Tom Ivor; one sister Harriet Barnett, two brothers William Barnett and Burton Barnett; and son-in-law Frank Gallina.

Evelyn retired in 1981 from National Bank of Detroit and was a life-long Methodist. She enjoyed being with family, playing bridge, sewing, and watching football.

Visitation will start at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2024, followed by funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, Michigan. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Trumbull, Nebraska at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 2, 2024, followed by a luncheon at the Trumbull Community Center.
