Earlene May Skinner, 78, of South Haven, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at her home in South Haven.

The family will receive guests from 5-7pm, Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave., South Haven, MI. Visitation will continue from 10am until time of celebration of life service at 11am, Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 718 Arbor Ct., South Haven, MI. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel, 269-637-0333. Earlene was born July 20, 1946 in South Haven, MI to Earl and Eleanor (Shugars) Tomsa. She married Eugene Skinner on September 4, 1965 in South Haven where they lived and raised their family. Earlene was an active member of St. Paul and enjoyed being involved in the ladies’ aid group. When she wasn’t sewing, you could often find her in the kitchen cooking and canning.

Earlene will be missed by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Skinner; her children, Brian (Melissa) Skinner, and Brett (Latesha) Skinner; her grandchildren, Cody Skinner, Christian (Leah) Skinner, Jordan (Eric) Verrett, Colton Skinner, and Kameron Skinner; three great grandchildren; and her brother, Kenneth Tomsa.

She is preceded in death by three siblings; and her parents.
