Danny's Obituary
Danny went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 24,2024. Cremation has taken place and the interment private.
Danny was born in September 1941 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Victor and Nellie McGowan. He grew up in Millburg and married his high school sweetheart Judy Higbee in November of 1962. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage.
He was a manufacturing supervisor at Bendix/Bosch Braking Systems in St. Joseph where he retired after 25 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling with his wife, kids, and grandkids.
His family includes his wife, Judy, a son Todd McGowan of Eau Claire, a daughter Dawn (Tim) Parks of Lawton and grandkids Bradley McGowan of Bridgman, Kristy (Tyler) VanDerMolen of Groton, CT and Katie Parks of Cincinnati, OH as well as many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers, and a niece.
Danny was a member of Lifegate Baptist Church in Eau Claire. He leaves behind many special memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
His favorite bible verse was lsaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." KJV.
